Resveratrol is a type of natural phenol, produced by several plants in response to injury, stresses, or attack by pathogens such as bacteria or fungi. The main function of resveratrol is to protect plant from invasion of pathogens. Resveratrol, as an important dietary supplements, has proven to help to extend life span and reduce cholesterol level.
