    16α-Hydroxyestrone Analysis Service

16α-Hydroxyestrone (16α-OHE1) is a metabolite of estrogen, produced through the hydroxylation of estrone at the 16α position. Structurally, it features a hydroxyl group added at the C16 position, which distinguishes it from other estrogen metabolites and endows it with unique biological activity. 16α-OHE1 is considered to have pro-estrogenic effects, capable of binding to estrogen receptors and influencing cellular proliferation and differentiation, particularly in breast tissue and other estrogen-related organs. The fluctuations in 16α-OHE1 levels have been closely associated with the incidence of hormone-dependent diseases, such as breast cancer and endometrial cancer. In recent years, 16α-OHE1 has garnered significant research attention as a potential biomarker for cancer. Its levels in the body are closely related to hormonal imbalance and disease risk, particularly when estrogen metabolism is dysregulated. Therefore, quantitative analysis of 16α-OHE1 is crucial for early disease diagnosis, monitoring drug efficacy, and developing personalized treatment plans. Utilizing advanced mass spectrometry techniques, researchers can accurately measure 16α-OHE1 levels and track its metabolic dynamics, providing robust data to explore the complex relationship between hormone metabolism and disease, ultimately advancing research in cancer prevention and treatment of hormone-related disorders.
