    2-thiouridine Analysis Service

      2-Thiouridine, a modified nucleoside, is found in tRNAs and plays a crucial role in maintaining the proper reading frame during translation. It is also a part of the anticodon loop of certain tRNA molecules, contributing to the precision and efficiency of protein synthesis. 2-thiouridine has a sulfur atom replacing an oxygen molecule at the 2-position of uridine. This chemical modification enhances the stability of the tRNA structure and the accuracy of translation. 2-thiouridine is synthesized from uridine through a series of enzymatic reactions that involve the activities of thiouridylate synthase and tRNA thiolation enzymes.
