Identification of Plasma Protein by Tandem Mass Spectrometry

Plasma, a liquid tissue rich in biological information, serves not only as a medium for the transfer of nutrients but also as a carrier for important signal molecules and functional proteins in the body. It encompasses tens of thousands of proteins that play crucial roles in many physiological processes and are also a significant source of disease biomarkers. To delve into the functions of these proteins, monitor their changes in different disease states, and find new targets for disease diagnosis and treatment, we need more precise and efficient techniques - tandem mass spectrometry identification of plasma proteins.

MtoZ Biolabs uses advanced liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry technology, particularly for the complexity of plasma, to carry out proteomic research based on the Top-Down strategy. Unlike the traditional "bottom-up" approach, our technology directly analyses the entire protein molecule, fully capturing all post-translational modifications and isoform forms of the protein. With this method, we can comprehensively analyse the entire protein in a single experiment, obtaining detailed information about protein size, charge, post-translational modifications, and structure.

      Applications

      1. Discovery and Validation of Disease Biomarkers

By analysing the differences in plasma proteins in healthy and disease states, researchers can be aided in discovering potential disease biomarkers.

      2. Drug Development and Personalized Medicine

Monitoring changes in plasma proteins during drug treatment to evaluate drug efficacy and side effects, providing a basis for personalized treatment.

      3. Systems Biology Research

Comprehensive analysis of plasma protein networks and pathways to understand complex molecular mechanisms in physiological and pathological processes.

      4. Nutrition and Metabolism Research

Exploring the association between plasma proteins and various nutritional factors and metabolic states.
