    Plant Leaf Tryptophan

      Tryptophan is an essential amino acid that plays a crucial role as a component of proteins and as a precursor for the synthesis of bioactive substances in many organisms. Tryptophan metabolites refer to a series of compounds produced by the metabolism of tryptophan in organisms. These compounds have significant physiological functions within organisms. In plants, tryptophan metabolism yields many important plant secondary metabolites such as indole acetic acid and indole-3-acetic acid, which play key roles in disease resistance and environmental adaptation.
