    2-Amino-7-Methyl-1,7-Dihydro-6H-Purin-6-One Analysis Service

      2-Amino-7-methyl-1,7-dihydro-6H-purin-6-one is a methylated derivative of xanthine, a purine base found in most human tissues and fluids, as well as in other organisms. The molecular formula of 2-amino-7-methyl-1,7-dihydro-6H-purin-6-one is C₆H₇N₅O. It has an amino group (-NH₂) at the 2nd position, a methyl group (-CH₃) at the 7th position, and a keto group (=O) at the 6th position of the purine ring. Its structure consists of a fused pyrimidine and imidazole ring system. As a methylated xanthine derivative, this compound may be involved in or derived from metabolic pathways related to purine metabolism. Xanthine is a key intermediate in the degradation of purine nucleotides to uric acid, which is eventually excreted from the body. 2-Amino-7-methyl-1,7-dihydro-6H-purin-6-one may be studied as a potential biomarker for certain diseases or conditions associated with abnormal purine metabolism, such as gout, hyperuricemia, or certain neurological disorders.
