    6-Deoxocastasterone Analysis Service

      6-Deoxocastasterone is a precursor compound of castasterone and plays a crucial intermediate role in the biosynthesis pathway of brassinosteroids. The chemical structure of 6-deoxocastasterone is similar to that of castasterone but lacks the oxygen group at the 6th position, which results in relatively lower biological activity. However, 6-deoxocastasterone is still an important metabolic intermediate in plants and is eventually converted into more biologically active compounds, such as castasterone and brassinolide. Although the biological activity of 6-deoxocastasterone itself is limited, its metabolic rate and accumulation can significantly influence the final content of active brassinosteroids in plants, thereby regulating plant growth and development as well as stress response. Research on 6-deoxocastasterone and its related metabolic pathways is of significant importance in agriculture. By optimizing its conversion process, crop growth efficiency and yield can be improved, providing a scientific basis for developing new plant growth regulators.
