    Aniline Analysis Service

Aniline is an aromatic amine with the molecular formula C₆H₇N. It consists of a benzene ring attached to an amino group (-NH₂), which contributes to its aromaticity and electron-rich nature. The lone pair of electrons on the nitrogen atom can participate in the π-electron cloud of the benzene ring, slightly decreasing the basicity of the amino group while making aniline more reactive toward electrophilic substitution reactions compared to benzene. Due to its aromatic structure and electron-donating properties, aniline is present in many industrial chemicals and pharmaceutical compounds. Its derivatives exhibit a wide range of biological activities, including analgesic, antipyretic, and anti-inflammatory effects. Aniline derivatives are found in various drug molecules, such as acetaminophen (paracetamol), sulfonamides, and certain dyes used in the textile and food industries.

Changes in the levels of aniline and its metabolites in the body may reflect specific exposure or health conditions. Because aniline is a precursor or structural unit in the synthesis of many important industrial and biological molecules, abnormal levels of its metabolites may be associated with various health issues, including hemolytic anemia, methemoglobinemia, and liver toxicity. Therefore, analyzing the levels of aniline and its metabolites can serve as potential biomarkers for exposure to toxic compounds or certain diseases, aiding in early diagnosis, monitoring of disease progression, and evaluating treatment efficacy. The metabolites of aniline can also reflect levels of oxidative stress in the body. The metabolism of aniline can produce various toxic intermediates, such as phenylhydroxylamine and nitrosobenzene, which can cause damage by reacting with cellular components. By monitoring the levels of aniline and its metabolites, it is possible to assess the degree of oxidative stress, thereby helping to develop targeted therapeutic and preventive measures.
