Carbon Metabolism Analysis Service
Carbon metabolism analysis in MtoZ Biolabs encompasses both one carbon metabolism and central carbon metabolism. The metabolism of certain amino acids can produce groups containing a carbon, known as one carbon unit (C1 unit). These groups can participate in biosynthesis upon transfer. The metabolic processes involving the production and transfer of C1 unit are referred to as one carbon metabolism. Central carbon metabolism is crucial in the metabolic network, serving as a key pathway for converting carbon from nutrients into biomass. This metabolism includes the TCA cycle, pentose phosphate pathway (PPP), glycolysis, among others.
MtoZ Biolabs utilizes ACQUITY UPLC/TripleQuad5500 (Waters/AB Sciex) for the quantitative and qualitative analysis of various substances involved in carbon metabolism.
Sample Submission Requirements
Serum, plasma, urine, bile, bile acids; Cells, animal tissues such as liver, brain, feces; Plants, yeast, microorganisms.
1. Sample Requirements
(1) Blood, bile, etc.: 10 μL
(2) Tissues: 10 mg
(3) Feces, etc.: 10 mg
For information of other sample to submit and their quantities, please contact MtoZ Biolabs.
2. Sample Transportation
To minimize sample degradation, use sufficient dry ice for transport. It is recommended to use larger blocks of dry ice as they sublimate more slowly. Pack samples in a foam box and use expedited mailing to minimize sample degradation.
