    Chenodeoxycholic Acid Analysis Service

Chenodeoxycholic acid (CDCA) is a primary bile acid synthesized in the liver through cholesterol metabolism. CDCA plays a vital role in the bile acid cycle, aiding in the digestion and absorption of fats and regulating cholesterol metabolism. In the intestines, CDCA can also be converted by gut bacteria into secondary bile acids, such as lithocholic acid and deoxycholic acid. Given its critical role in lipid metabolism and cholesterol balance, fluctuations in CDCA levels are closely linked to various conditions, including liver and bile duct diseases, metabolic disorders, and the formation of gallstones. Additionally, abnormal accumulation of CDCA may be associated with pathological processes in certain liver diseases. Therefore, precise analysis of CDCA and its metabolites is essential for clinical research and disease diagnosis.
