Circular Dichroism Analysis of Antibody Drug

Antibody drugs refer to a class of drugs that treat diseases with antibody molecules, including monoclonal antibody drugs and polyclonal antibody drugs, etc. Antibody drugs are widely used in the clinical treatment of various diseases, including cancer, infectious diseases, and autoimmune diseases. The advantages of antibody drugs include high specificity and affinity, lower toxic side effects, long retention time in the body, and good biocompatibility.

The circular dichroism (CD) detection of antibody drugs is an important analytical method for evaluating the structural and conformational characteristics of antibody drugs. By measuring the circular dichroism spectrum of antibody drugs, information about its secondary structure, helix content, conformational stability, and interactions can be obtained, which contributes to the research and development and quality control of antibody drugs. CD tests commonly use circular dichroism spectrometers, which can simultaneously measure the absorption of samples to left-handed circularly polarized light and right-handed circularly polarized light. By measuring the absorption or rotation of these two circularly polarized lights at different wavelengths, the circular dichroism spectrum of antibody drugs can be obtained.

MtoZ Biolabs uses advanced circular dichroism spectrometers to provide professional circular dichroism testing services for the analysis of the spatial conformation of antibody drugs. Compared to traditional methods, this technique offers several advantages:

      1. Short measurement time, simplicity, and efficiency.

      2. Requires minimal sample volume, and can be performed in dilute solutions.

      3. No restrictions on molecular weight or size.

      4. Highly sensitive to secondary and tertiary structural changes, capable of detecting subtle alterations.
