    Genistin Analysis Service

      Genistin is a naturally occurring soybean isoflavone, chemically structured as the 7-O-glucoside of isoflavone. It is one of the primary isoflavones found in soybeans and other leguminous plants. In the body, genistin can be hydrolyzed by β-glucosidase to produce genistein, which is its main bioactive form. Genistin exhibits multiple biological activities and pharmacological effects, including antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anticancer, anti-osteoporotic, cardiovascular protective, and antidiabetic properties. These effects are primarily mediated through its metabolite, genistein. Additionally, genistin has been shown to interact with estrogen receptors, either mimicking or blocking estrogenic activity, thus being considered a phytoestrogen. This gives it potential applications in women's health, such as alleviating menopausal symptoms and preventing osteoporosis. The analysis and detection of genistin are typically performed using liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS). This technique offers high sensitivity and selectivity, making it suitable for the quantification of genistin and its metabolites in complex biological samples.
