    Glycocholic Acid Analysis Service

Glycocholic acid (GCA) is a conjugated bile acid formed from the conjugation of cholic acid (CA) with glycine. As a key component of bile, GCA plays an essential role in the bile acid cycle, aiding in the emulsification and absorption of fats. It also significantly contributes to regulating cholesterol metabolism and maintaining liver function. Abnormal GCA levels, whether elevated or decreased, are closely associated with various hepatobiliary diseases, including cholestasis, gallstones, and cirrhosis. Therefore, precise analysis of GCA and its metabolites is vital for diagnosing, researching, and treating liver and biliary disorders.
