Metabolomics in Veterinary and Animal Health

The study of animal health and diseases has always been an important research topic in the field of science. With the advancement of scientific technology, metabolomics has become a powerful tool that can help us understand animal health and diseases more deeply. Metabolomics research can provide detailed information about the physiological state of a biological organism, offering the possibility of unraveling the pathogenesis of diseases and the discovery of new treatment strategies.

      Services at MtoZ Biolabs

At MtoZ Biolabs, we leverage cutting-edge mass spectrometry technology to provide comprehensive metabolomics analysis services for veterinary and animal health research:

1.Comprehensive metabolomics analysis: We can extract thousands of metabolites from different biological samples, including amino acids, fatty acids, nucleotides, part-time compounds, and other small molecule compounds.

2.Quantitative analysis: We can provide accurate quantitative analysis for specific metabolites.

3.Biomarker discovery: We can help you discover biomarkers associated with specific diseases or physiological states.

4.Drug mechanism of action research: Through metabolomics analysis, we can help you understand the mechanism of action of drugs more deeply.

      Experimental Instruments

Our technical platform includes multiple analysis platforms such as GC-MS, LC-MS, UPLC-MS, which can screen thousands of metabolites from a single biological sample.

      1. Chromatography

      • GC (Q Exactive) (- mode MS)
      • HPLC: HILIC (+/- mode MS)
      • HPLC: RP C18 (+/- mode MS)
      • IC (- mode MS)

      2. Mass Spectrometry

      • Q Exactive MS
      • Orbitrap Tribrid Mass Spectrometer

      Applications

      • Animal Disease Diagnosis: Metabolomics analysis can reveal biomarkers for animal diseases, aiding in early diagnosis and disease management.
      • Therapeutic Effect Assessment: By analyzing changes in metabolites before and after treatment, we can assess treatment efficacy and optimize therapeutic protocols.
      • Nutritional Research: Studying metabolic changes under different nutritional conditions provides scientific evidence for feed formulation optimization and animal nutritional health.
      • Environmental and Stress Response Monitoring: Metabolomics can be used to monitor physiological responses of animals to environmental changes or stressors, aiding in the improvement of animal welfare.

      Service Advantages

      • Diverse Animal Sample Analysis Capabilities: Whether livestock, pets, or laboratory animals, we provide precise metabolomics analysis services.
      • Flexible Research Design: We support various experimental designs to meet different research objectives, including longitudinal studies, controlled studies, and temporal dynamics analysis.
      • Rapid Turnaround Time: Efficient experimental procedures and data processing capabilities ensure that clients receive timely analytical results.

      Sample Submission Requirements

      • Sample Types: Blood, urine, feces, tissue, saliva, and other animal samples.
      • Sample Volume: At least 100 µL of liquid sample or 50 mg of solid sample per sample.
      • Sample Preservation: Samples should be immediately stored at low temperatures after collection, recommended to be frozen at -80°C, and transported using dry ice or liquid nitrogen.
