    N-glycan Analysis Service

N-glycosylation is a key post-translational modification process that involves the attachment of glycans to the nitrogen atoms of proteins. This biological process plays a significant role in protein folding, cell-cell interactions, and immune responses. N-glycans refer to the carbohydrate chains that are covalently attached to proteins via N-glycosylation. These glycan chains, composed of various monosaccharides such as mannose, galactose, fucose, and sialic acid, exhibit significant structural diversity. The specific structure and composition of N-glycans are critical determinants of protein bioactivity, immunogenicity, and spatial distribution within biological systems. Therefore, the precise and comprehensive analysis of N-glycans is essential for understanding the complex biology behind various human diseases and for the development of effective therapeutic strategies. MtoZ Biolabs is committed to providing the most reliable and comprehensive N-glycan analysis service. With our advanced technology and experienced team, we aim to help researchers and scientists uncover the mysteries of N-glycan biology and discover novel therapeutic targets.

      Technical Principles

Our N-glycan analysis service is based on the state-of-the-art mass spectrometry technology. This technique utilizes the principle of mass-to-charge ratio to quantitatively and qualitatively analyze the N-glycan structures. Firstly, the glycans are released from the proteins and labeled with a fluorescent tag. They are then subjected to liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry, which allow us to identify and quantify the glycans based on their unique mass-to-charge ratios.

      Analysis Workflow

      1. Sample Submission: Clients submit their samples following our sample submission guidelines.

      2. Sample Preparation: We will perform protein extraction, denaturation, and glycan release.

      3. N-glycan Analysis: The released glycans will be labeled and subjected to liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry.

      4. Data Analysis: We will provide a comprehensive report including raw data, detailed analysis, and professional interpretation.
