    N4-acetyl-2'-O-methylcytidine Analysis Service

      N4-acetyl-2'-O-methylcytidine (ac4Cm) is a modified nucleoside and an analog of cytidine. It features both methylation at the 2'-O position of the ribose and acetylation at the N4 position, providing enhanced stability to RNA molecules, particularly under high-temperature conditions. ac4Cm has been predominantly identified in thermophilic archaea, where it plays a crucial role in the organisms’ adaptation to extreme environmental conditions. The dual acetylation and methylation of RNA molecules containing ac4Cm significantly increase their stability, allowing the organisms to maintain functional RNA at elevated temperatures.
