    Plant Metabolomics

      Plant metabolomics focuses on the comprehensive analysis of both primary and secondary metabolites in plants. These metabolites include essential compounds such as organic acids, amino acids, nucleotides, carbohydrates, and lipids, which are vital for plant growth and adaptation to environmental stresses. Secondary metabolites, including alkaloids, phenolics, flavonoids, and terpenoids, play crucial roles in ecological interactions, such as defense against pathogens and herbivores, and facilitate plant adaptation to abiotic stresses like salinity and UV exposure.
