    Retinol Metabolism Service

      Retinol, also called vitamin A1, is a fat-soluble vitamin in the vitamin A family. Retinol or other forms of vitamin A are needed for vision, cellular development, maintenance of skin and mucous membranes, immune function and reproductive development. Retinol at normal doses is well tolerated. High doses may cause enlargement of the liver, dry skin, and hypervitaminosis A. High doses during pregnancy may harm the fetus. While retinol deficiency causes various diseases like night blindness. Retinol deficiency contributes to blindness by making the cornea very dry and damaging the retina and cornea. Therefore, understanding retinol metabolism is vital for animal's health.

      • Sample Type: Serum, Plasma, Tissue, Cell, etc.
      • Minimum Volume: 100ul for serum/plasma, 500mg for tissue/cell
      • Storage and Transportation: Samples should be stored in a -80℃ environment and transported on dry ice.
