    Ursodeoxycholic Acid Analysis Service

      Ursodeoxycholic acid (UDCA) is a secondary bile acid originally isolated from bear bile, hence its name. It is commonly found in mammals and is produced through the conversion of primary bile acids by intestinal microbiota. The presence of the 7β-hydroxyl group sets UDCA apart from other bile acids, giving it unique chemical properties and biological functions. UDCA is widely used to treat liver and gallbladder diseases, such as cholestasis, primary biliary cirrhosis, and gallstones, due to its ability to reduce cholesterol absorption, promote cholesterol dissolution, protect liver cells, and alleviate bile stasis.
