    Vitamin B9 Analysis Service

      Vitamin B9, also known as folic acid, is a water-soluble vitamin that belongs to the B-vitamin group. The chemical structure of folic acid consists of a pteridine ring, p-aminobenzoic acid, and glutamic acid. This composite structure gives folic acid a certain degree of solubility in water and makes it easily absorbable.

       

      Folic acid itself is a precursor form that cannot be directly utilized by the body. It must be absorbed in the small intestine and converted by dihydrofolate reductase into its active form, tetrahydrofolate (THF), which participates in one-carbon transfer reactions. These reactions are crucial for nucleic acid synthesis and amino acid metabolism.  Metabolomics analysis of folic acid utilizes high-throughput techniques (such as mass spectrometry and nuclear magnetic resonance) to comprehensively study the dynamic changes and metabolic pathways of folic acid and its metabolites within the body. This analytical approach is essential for elucidating the biological functions of folic acid, optimizing its clinical applications, evaluating the effects of its deficiency or excess on health, and promoting personalized nutritional interventions.

      Serum, plasma, urine, tissues and other biological samples. A minimum of 3 samples with the same condition is required for each sample type.

      • Serum/ Plasma ≥ 200 μL
      • Urine ≥ 2 mL

       

      3. Sample Preservation
